Nick Sheffield

Nick Sheffield is Head of Curriculum Innovation at Linden Lodge SEN School, a specialist in supporting young people with sensory impairments, where he develops both curriculum and assessment. Before that, he was an Assistant Head and a classroom teacher of children with PMLD for 5 years. Nick is a member of the Expert Rochford Review Group, a guest lecturer at Middlesex and Bedfordshire Universities on their ITT programmes and has presented at National Conferences including the Hirstwood Curriculum Conclusion Conference alongside Diane Rochford. Nick created the Reflective Teaching Tool, which is currently being circulated as an outstanding example of utilising the engagement model in reflection and assessment of pupil progress. Richard Airde O.B.E. "I was hugely impressed by Mr Sheffield’s passion, commitment and work ethic, I became similarly impressed by his deep insight into the education of children with PMLD/CLDD. The quality of his insight was always of the highest order."
