Use our online bundles to facilitate a virtual INSET day

Our Learning Online Subscription Bundles allow you to create different CPD pathways for different groups of staff for a virtual INSET day.  For example, you may wish to create an agenda for staff working with learners with complex needs, one for learners with Autism and one for learners with MLD.

The virtual INSET would comprise self-guided learning, reflective practice activities and staff discussion - which could be facilitated by curriculum leads within each respective area or amongst staff teams.

Staff could use the reflective practice activities as well as the discussion time to focus on one pupil or group of pupils.  Recording their shared thoughts/ideas and strategies around implementation of the curriculum for these pupils would create a ready to go personalised learning plan.

Each suggested agenda has built in time to accommodate technical glitches, extra discussion time, time for questions (especially if facilitated by a  curriculum lead) and extra planning time - which could be individual or group based.

To facilitate a virtual INSET you could use collaborative software (such as Microsoft Teams), or video conferencing providers such as Zoom or Skype.  Staff will need access to a tablet/laptop/device with wifi plus a way of recording their personal action plans/reflective practice activities and key takeaway point/light bulb moment from the day’s learning.

We’ve created three suggested agendas for a virtual INSET for staff working with learners with PMLD, MLD and SLD.
